Abstract:
The article concerns an aspect of didactic that has been so far poorly reflected in specialized literature: assessing students’ competences based on projects. The optional courses from the Language and Communication domain (cca 2 hours per week) provide a fertile ground for experimenting with the project as product and as process. The article examines the learning opportunities and the didactic activities capable of preparing the students for assessment based on individual or group projects, and also the criteria for assessment and the relevant indicators. Examples are offered for projects of two types, developed in optional courses: constructive and problem-based.
