Abstract:
Linguistic field represents a way of organizing and systematizing vocabulary units.
Linguistic fields are classified in: notional, semantic, derivative, conceptual, lexical-semantic classes etc.
Within the notional field, specific relationships are established among vocabulary units, besides those of synonymy and antonymy, are also established those of hyperonymy and hyponymy. The interest for analysis of notional fields is justified on the one hand, by theoretical and methodological aspects, and, on the other hand, by applicative ones. Thus, the comparison of the same field in two or more different languages highlights the differences in meaning and metaseme, but referral of these differences aims both at the topology of language and at the learning of vocabulary from one language or from different languages.
