Abstract:
This article describes the specifics of the specialized text, its selection criteria, and is giving a brief description of the role of texts in the Romanian language learning process of students who speak other languages than Romanian. The paper describes the development of oral and written communication skills, of reading and understanding a scientific specialized text. Starting from the idea that sometimes didactic texts can be adapted we could mention that a text must be authentic, one that students could encounter in the everyday life, from the simplest advancing towards more difficult texts, enabling the students to initiate a communication situation.
