Abstract

Numerous researches of the reception of I. Neculce’s traditions in the period of Romanian romanticism are centered upon the basic characteristics of I. Neculce’s work: folklore, from which there are, derived: historical matters and narrative-stylistic values. On the basis of the research some conclusions are formulated: I. Neculce’s work is the beginning of a folk activity with good results in the following decades. From the point of view of narrative dimensions, I. Neculce also follows the popular model on the general memoryalistic background, focused on the local color or the local beauties.
