„Nearsighted adolescent novel” is the book classic example of Bildungsroman. The hero, being shortsighted soul goes through different changes to get personality. Therefore we have in these novel stages of becoming a hero: the complex after puberty, physical punishment experiences further knowledge, log role as mirror of the soul, humiliation and hatred etc. So we have a perfect lesson of self-knowledge. |
