dc.description.abstract	In the creation of the Argentinian writer – Jorge Luis Borge, the time topic has a particular place. We aimed to investigate the approach of the moment as a temporal element in the creation of Jorge Luis Borges and to reveal the meanings given by the writer to this tiny temporal sequence. Both in the poems and the stories, the author mentions the priceless potential of the moment revealed when being lived fully. The plasticity of the Borges poetic image supports the concept of the moment as an exponent of the absolute time in the linear historical sequence of daily events. Moreover, Jorge Luis Borges challenges the vitality of the moment and its creative function.	en_US
