Symbiosis of values in education and entrepreneurship: lifelong learning for a sustainable society

Abstract

This article investigates the symbiosis of values in education and entrepreneurship, framed within the concept of lifelong learning as a catalyst for building a sustainable society. Drawing on current international and European trends, the study emphasizes the necessity of integrating value-based perspectives into educational and entrepreneurial practices. It argues that values and value orientations are fundamental in shaping both personal development and social responsibility across the lifespan. The theoretical foundation of the article is built on established models related to education, entrepreneurship, and lifelong learning, which are used to contextualize a personal conceptual model proposed by the author. This model highlights the dynamic relationship between value development, educational actions, and entrepreneurial thinking as mutually reinforcing elements. The article also includes selected experimental data that reflect the particularities of value orientation in youth. These findings support the need to reinforce lifelong education strategies that are aligned with sustainability and value coherence. The conclusions reflect on how such an approach can contribute to broader educational transformation in line with global goals and the strategic priorities of the Republic of Moldova.
