Abstract:
The influence of religious education on social cohesion explores how moral and religious education contributes to the development of relationships among people and the strengthening of communities. By promoting important values such as love, respect, compassion, and intercultural dialogue, religious education supports social cohesion, fostering mutual understanding among individuals from diverse cultural and religious backgrounds. Most notably, teachers of social sciences, particularly religious education teachers, face significant challenges, such as prejudices, lack of adequate training, and varying expectations from parents. These obstacles require innovative pedagogical approaches, including the use of technology and multimedia resources, to create an inclusive and respectful educational climate. Therefore, religious education not only enhances knowledge but also serves as a vital tool in shaping a cohesive society capable of addressing diversity and contemporary issues.
