Abstract:
In recent decades, digitization has had a significant impact on many fields, and literature is no exception. Technological changes have generated both challenges and opportunities for authors, readers and publishers around the world, and Romanian literature has not been left aside in this context. Changes in the way books are published, distributed and read have brought with them new forms of cultural interaction, but also new challenges in terms of preserving the literary tradition. In this specialized study, we will explore both the difficulties and opportunities that digitization brings to Romanian literature in the European space, analyzing the role of emerging technologies, online platforms and access to information. Rapid technological evolution and changes in the digital landscape have had a profound impact on the way literature is perceived and consumed, including among young people. At the gymnasium, where the first habits of reading and understanding literature are formed, digitalization can bring both significant challenges and opportunities. From an educational perspective, Romanian literature at this school level must take into account and the behavioral changes of the younger generations. In this context, the purpose of this study is to analyze how Romanian literature can respond to the challenges and opportunities brought by the digital era in gymnasium education.
