Abstract:
The article proposes an analysis of the Bildungsroman elements from the novel La Medeleni by Ionel Teodoreanu, at the stage of adolescence. Adolescence is the decisive stage in the formation of the characters' identities, marking the confrontation with reality, emotional transformations and social influences that shape their destiny. Olguta, a nonconformist spirit, oscillates between the desire for freedom and the constraints imposed by society, while Danut, dreamy and introspective, searches for his identity, influenced by romantic ideals and sentimental experiences. Adolescence is not just a transition to maturity, but a defining stage, finely illustrated by Teodoreanu, who highlights the turmoil and aspirations of youth.
