dc.description.abstract |
Mathematics, for many students, is often perceived as an abstract and difficult subject, but by applying it in interdisciplinary contexts, such as biology, this perception can be somehow mitigated, becoming more relevant and captivating for students. The motivational function of the didactic method helps to stimulate students' interest and develop a desire to learn, linking theoretical knowledge to their real-life applications. Examples of mathematical problems applied in biology, such as, for example, calculating the mass of skin after reducing the fat layer or analyzing the amount of collagen and other such problems, demonstrate how a concept such as a matrix can be used to solve interdisciplinary problems. This approach stimulates students' curiosity and applicative spirit, helping them to better understand the relevance of mathematics in everyday life. |
