Abstract:
This article is a critical depiction of two important currents in pedagogy: instructive learning and structural learning. The basic principles of each pedagogical current and the opinions of different researchers, who, eventually, plead for the structural learning, are enumerated; the key-steps of structural and instructive learning are emphasized; important moments of structural learning are established. The conclusion is drawn, that instructive learning completes effectively the structural learning but it cannot be the basic current in teaching and learning of foreign languages.
