Abstract:
The article explores how folklore contributes to the development of self-esteem in children, emphasizing its role in axiological education and in the formation of a strong personal identity. Through its diverse creations – stories, songs, proverbs, sayings, and folk games – folklore provides children with authentic moral and cultural landmarks, essential for developing self-confidence, self-image, and self-love. Active participation in folklore activities, as well as the internalization of values passed down through generations, facilitates the construction of a positive self-perception and fosters a sense of belonging to the community they are part of. The creative integration of folklore into the educational process thus becomes a valuable tool for the harmonious development of children's personalities and their integration into society.
