Abstract:
This article highlights the relevance of the Task-Based Learning teaching strategy in developing primary school students' skills for recognizing potentially dangerous situations in the online environment. Recently, students have become increasingly exposed to the online environment and its associated risks. Therefore, from an early age, there is a growing need for digital education to prevent risks such as cyberbullying, exposure to inappropriate content, or online manipulation. In this context, simulating real-life situations, active and experiential learning, as well as other activities specific to Task-Based Learning, can contribute to the development of students' ability to recognize online dangers and transform the learning process into an engaging and meaningful experience. Thus, primary school students become more aware, better prepared, and more responsible when navigating the internet, which helps ensure their digital safety. Moreover, integrating this teaching strategy into the educational process in primary education can facilitate the development of essential competencies for the responsible use of digital resources, preparing students for the challenges of an increasingly digitalized world.
