Abstract

Physical, social, and emotional education plays an essential role in the harmonious development of an individual. Each of these dimensions contributes to overall health, interpersonal relationships, and success in life. In the case of primary school students, emotional development plays a crucial role in shaping personality and the ability to adapt to life's challenges. This study aims to highlight the emotional development level of students in the 3rd and 4th grades, depending on the volume and type of weekly motor activities, differentiated by gender (72 female and 78 male) and environment (83 rural and 67 urban). After applying the emotional development test developed by Mihaela Roco on a sample of 150 students, we observed that subjects from urban areas scored higher than those from rural areas. Most of the averages obtained are below 100 points, indicating a below-average level of emotional development, with the exception of boys from urban areas who participate in sports games, with an average of 105 points.
