dc.description.abstract The study aims to assess the level of harmonious physical development in primary school students, focusing on key anthropometric parameters and on the ability of students to memorize and perform general physical development exercises (GPDE). The research examined the physical development and the capacity to memorize the execution of a complex of GPDE in 346 primary school students. Their progress was evaluated according to the standards of the assessment system and performance descriptors, with the goal of optimizing the methods for applying gymnastics means in school physical education. The study results indicate a progressive increase in height and weight among primary school students, with bigger average values in boys and a consistently larger body mass index (BMI), reflecting differences in growth rate between genders. It was also observed a decrease in the percentage of students receiving the "Very Good" mark from the first to fourth grade, suggesting the need for a more structured methodology and a progressive training meant to enhance motor skills and execution memory. The study shows the importance of monitoring physical development and motor skills in primary school students, highlighting the necessity of adapted educational programs for harmonious growth and an active lifestyle. en_US
