Abstract:
The modern teacher must be prepared to respond to the constantly evolving social demands. This means that he must be open to new methodologies, technologies and pedagogical approaches, in order to face the challenges, capitalizing on the opportunities generated by social transformations. In the context of the alarming increase in childhood overweight and obesity, the educational system should adhere to the prevention approach and form attitudes and behaviors among learners to adopt a healthy lifestyle. Well-trained teachers are essential for the successful implementation of reforms. By offering their own model, the early childhood education teacher creates a dynamic learning environment, adapted to the needs of the learners and the demands of a modern society. This perspective not only improves the quality of education, but also strengthens the position of teachers as active agents in the transformation and continuous development of the educational system, which today is called upon to combat obesity among children.
