People are social beings and need secure relationships to feel protected and valued. If these needs are not met, stress, anxiety, and isolation can occur, affecting not only well-being but also the ability to learn, innovate, and collaborate effectively with others. The study of psychological safety by addressing human relational needs is essential for several reasons. People need secure relationships and emotional support to feel protected, accepted, and valued. A lack of psychological safety can lead to stress, anxiety, and low self-esteem. In psychologically safe environments such as work, family, and school, people express their ideas freely, cooperate more effectively, and develop healthy relationships. This leads to greater productivity and innovation. Thus, by studying psychological safety through the lens of these fundamental needs, we can understand how to create healthier, more inclusive, and more productive environments, whether we are talking about family, education, or the workplace. |
