Abstract:
This article addresses the issue of maintaining well-being through diet and appropriate lifestyle, which are essential in this regard. Two phytocomplexes were developed, which included two different sources of inulin fiber with hypoglycemic effect, products containing soluble/insoluble fiber and enterosorbent. The results obtained may form the basis for the further development of nutraceuticals based on indigenous medicinal plants, which would combine the benefits of components with prebiotic and hypoglycemic effects, since both interact and complement each other in maintaining the body's homeostasis. Despite the fact that the significance of plant nutraceuticals in the prevention and treatment of several diseases is widely discussed, it should be noted that their inappropriate use can lead to toxic adverse effects.
