Abstract:
The transformations of traditional Romanian dwellings from the Republic of Moldova are irreversible in the context of the modernization process. The 20th century is notable for the most pronounced changes in the social structure of local communities, a consequence of which is the modification of traditions. Modernization changes not only the exterior aspect of the house and of the other objects, but also leads to the loss of symbolism of the peasant house, as it deprives the integral image of semantic content.

Transformările locuințelor tradiționale românești din Republica Moldova sunt ireversibile în contextul procesului de modernizare. Sec. XX se remarcă prin cele mai pronunțate schimbări în structura socială a comunităților locale, o consecință a acestora fiind modificarea tradițiilor. Modernizarea schimbă nu doar aspectul exterior al casei și altor obiecte, dar mai duce și la pierderea simbolismului casei țărănești, deoarece privează o imagine integră de conținut semantic.
