Abstract:
Insufficient knowledge of theoretical concepts, theories related to the issue of child abuse, the consequences of this phenomenon on child development, the legislative gaps in child protection, the relatively small number of trained specialists with practical experience in this area, are real obstacles to reducing and preventing abuse and child maltreatment.
In this article the author had the aim to highlight the perception phenomenon of child abuse by teenagers.
In conclusion adolescents have a poor perception of the phenomenon of abuse. Therefore there are recommended seminars to inform children about this phenomenon, and to develop social skills in children to act in cases of abuse.
