Abstract:
In love spells, the charms were not only based on incantations, invocations or symbolic gestures, but the magnificent power of water was amplified by the combined use of plants or other magical ingredients, objects consecrated in the magic of love, because, together with the words of the spell, to be able to offer certainties to those who needed them. After a review of several premarital practices in which communication plays an essential role, we can affirm that the magical act illustrates the relationship between word-magical action-object/magical ingredient.
