The impact of the international competition "Water is Life" on environmental education of the young generation

Abstract

In order to ensure environmental education and to increase interest in water resources, the scarcity of which will cause socio-economic crises in the near future, the International "Water is Life" Contest was initiated, which includes a series of creative and voluntary activities. The aim of the paper is to highlight the importance and impact of the Water is Life International Contest, promoting the important achievements of the participants and the relevance of environmental education in the face of current environmental challenges. The contest demonstrated that, regardless of age or educational level, every individual has the capacity to contribute to the protection of the planet. Active participation in such initiatives not only enriches the knowledge and skills of the younger generation, but is essential for building a sustainable and durable future. By presenting the experiences and achievements of the participants, the article underlines the importance of community involvement in environmental education and in promoting responsible environmental behavior.
