Abstract:
We aim to establish knowledge about adjective use and especially their relationship with different types of transposition. From a semantic point of view, adjectives are used to characterize a noun that designates a person or an object in terms of quality. It is important to note that the adjective is not the only way to express the quality of an object. The French, Romanian and Italian languages have multiple ways of highlighting the quality of an object, for example a noun used in postposition to the determined term, an adnominal complement, a relative clause. The transposition marks the proof of the functional equality between the elements of nature and the diversity within the phrase. Summarizing these notices we can say that at least the adjective category has some similarities in semantic-pragmatic characteristics, especially the ability to switch from one part of speech to another.
