Abstract:
The guidelines proposed below stress the importance of morality and ethics in education, particularly regarding academic freedom and teaching sensitive topics in schools. They underscore the necessity of respecting diverse opinions, maintaining transparency and objectivity, obtaining consent, and fostering sensitivity in discussing sensitive subjects. Moreover, promoting social responsibility and collaborating with parents and the community are highlighted as essential aspects of ethical education. Authors like Jonathan Zimmerman, Amy Gutmann, Nel Noddings, and Parker J. Palmer have contributed valuable insights, advocating for the integration of empathy, critical thinking, and democratic dialogue in the educational process. By adhering to these principles, educators can create a safe and inclusive learning environment, preparing students to become responsible and empathetic citizens.
