Abstract:
The article presents aspects of the use of Pasco sensors in the practical work „Quality, valorization and protection of the environment in the hometown", carried out with students in geography lessons. The practical work is oriented towards the students' identification of local environmental problems and the development of solutions to improve them. The use of sensors allow students to become aware of the factors that have contributed to diminishing the quality of the environment through the collection of factual data and their analysis. The sensors increase the effectiveness of the measurements of some characteristics of the environmental components, allow the display and visualization of the results of the measurements carried out in the field. Modern digital equipment stimulates the students' creativity, ensuring also a learning pleasure, orienting them to investigate environmental problems by obtaining their own results.
