dc.description.abstract In the current context, there is a lot of discussion about the changes that are imposed or proposed in the Romanian school. The study of the Romanian language in school is of particular importance, because it illustrates the national identity of the Romanian people, becoming the existential model of each individual. One of the ideals of the Romanian school is to train students capable of understanding the Romanian language, helping them through oral and written language practice to become individuals aware of their role in society. The student must become able to decipher the linguistic structures and understand the role of the expressive use of the language. The dynamics of the study of Romanian language and literature from the perspective of European policies for native languages and literatures is a complex and relevant subject in the context of European integration and cultural diversity. Thus, the present study has as its object of investigation the educational phenomenon in all its complexity. Learning the Romanian language and the verb develops thinking, stimulates creativity and imagination, trains the ability to organize ideas logically, increases attention and increases the student's power of concentration; It develops an acute constructive critical sense and encourages students' freedom of expression. Learning the Romanian language helps students to easily express their experiences, feelings, thoughts, developing their ability to beautifully shape their personality. All this leads to the cultivation of the individual and to his encouragement to interrelate with his peers. Within the subjects of study in gymnasium, the Romanian language has an important role, which aims to train students and integrate them into social life. Thus, the learning process emphasizes the improvement of oral expression and the reception of messages, but also the development of the capacity to interpret a literary text from the perspective of various linguistic levels. Obviously, having a minimum set of elementary notions of the spoken language represents a part of the general culture of each individual. en_US
