dc.description.abstract Promoting linguistic and cultural diversity: The European Union encourages cultural and linguistic diversity within its member states. Thus, studying and promoting the Romanian language and literature are part of this diversity, contributing to European cultural wealth. Within the suite of skills presented in the National Curriculum for primary and secondary education, the ability to communicate in the mother tongue is a key skill necessary for the entire existence of man, for his social insertion and the development of written and oral communication activities and aims at the double quality of the language Romanian, as a subject of study and as a language of schooling, responsible, from this last perspective, for the school success of students in the other subjects of study. The development of multiculturalism and interculturality in Romanian language and literature classes can be achieved through various didactic methods and strategies: by studying universal literature and Romanian literature from other cultures, by promoting intercultural dialogue in discussions and debates; through projects and practical activities; by using literature as a means of exploring identity and diversity, or by integrating these strategies in Romanian language and literature classes, students can develop intercultural skills and become informed, open and tolerant citizens towards the cultural and linguistic diversity of the world in which they live I'm alive. en_US
