Abstract:
The paper reflects some problems in the development of theory and general methodology of pedagogical research. These key issues are the following: determining the development trends of pedagogical sciences; the motivation and formation of the scientific culture of research pedagogues; identifying the unity and specificity between the activity of education as a socio-human phenomenon and the research activity of education in pedagogical sciences; designing and carrying out interdisciplinary research; determining the relationships between theory and methods, general methods and methods of concrete research sciences; elucidating the relationships between the novelty, the scientific and practical value of the research, the evaluation criteria of the research products and the application limits of the pedagogical research products.
