Abstract:
In this article there are presented theoretical-conceptual approaches regarding the correlation of quality of life with affective status in young adults with diabetes. The research in the recent years brings increasingly clear data regarding the connection between diabetes and affective disorders, being recognized by the scientific world, the fact that psychological disorders in diabetes are underdiagnosed, one of the causes being the lack of an anxiety and depression screening protocol among patients with chronic diseases. Addressing the diabetes-anxiety-depression comorbidity, we aimed to highlight the perceptions of young adults regarding the purpose and meaning of life, anxiety, depression and psychological well-being, as well as optimizing the quality of life through a psychoeducational program that can be applied to experimental subjects.
