Abstract:
The article discusses the main provisions underlying the development of a program for psychological correction of disorders of personal development of children with severe forms of speech pathology. Theoretical ideas about the role of speech in the development of personality are synthesized with the actual results of empirical research. The emotional development of children with speech impairments lags behind their peers. They recognize and understand emotions much worse, and it is more difficult for them to differentiate emotional states. Preschoolers with speech disorders have difficulties in adequate self-esteem. The volitional activity of children with severe speech disorders lags significantly behind the activity of children with normal speech and is formed much more slowly in the former. The development of a system of psychological support for children with speech disorders in the context of personal development should first of all be based on a theoretical and methodological basis and actual difficulties in personality development registered in children. The program contains a set of practical classes whose main goal is speech and personal development. Classes include gaming technologies, social stories, problem situations, trainings, the task of which is to develop self-awareness, emotional-volitional, motivational spheres and speech. The program is designed for preschoolers 5-6 years old with severe speech impairments and is implemented in individual and group formats.
