Necesitatea pregătirii iniţiale a cadrelor didactice în prevenirea abuzului faţă de copii

Abstract

Violence against children is a global problem that is found in different environments: family, schools, alternative care institutions and detention centres, in places where children work and in communities. Violence against children remains hidden for various reasons. Many children are afraid to report incidents of violence against them. Another reason is the lack of skills of professionals working with children, including teachers and school psychologists to prevent the phenomenon through the early identification of suspected cases of child abuse and providing assistance.
