Abstract:
Pre-adolescence is a sensitive period for enhancing and increasing the level of emotional maturity. Crucial for emotional development at this age is the learning, recognition, and conscious management of emotions, determination, the understanding of the connections between emotions and reactions, and subsequently skills in understanding and managing emotions and accepting others. This article reflects the results obtained from conducting an experimental study on preadolescents, aiming to identify the level of development of emotional intelligence and emotional maturity, highlighting the connection between the development of emotional intelligence, emotional maturity of preadolescents, and acceptance of others.
