Abstract:
Interdisciplinary tasks with practical significance are the main method of combining knowledge from various disciplines and forming a holistic picture of the world. The paradigm of the educational system of the 21st century requires a person-oriented approach, and the highest result of educational activities is the formation of a competent personality adapted to life in the modern world. We are often faced with a lack of understanding of the importance of the Chemistry; students consider this subject to be complex and unnecessary in everyday life, the reason for this is the ignorance of the areas of application of Chemistry. The article considers some tasks that contribute to the development of cognitive interest in Chemistry, the formation of transversal competencies, and the subject actualization. Most teachers face the difficulty of developing tasks that meet the criteria above. Meanwhile, students need methods to develop their ability to learn and find answers and solutions. Interdisciplinary tasks with practical significance contribute to the achievement of the most important goal of education - to teach how to learn, also answering the main question of every student “what for?”
