Abstract:
The Romanian Association of Press History (ARIP) aims to study the history of the press, an insufficiently researched field, for ideological reasons or for lack of interest. The ARIP started in 2007, the date of the first congress at which topics from this sphere of interest were debated. Since then, ARIP has organized 15 congresses, published 15 volumes, including sustained communications, edited the Romanian Journal of Press History and created branches in Moldova, Ukraine, Hungary and the Republic of Serbia, becoming one of the most respectable academic associations.
