dc.description.abstract Mass culture becomes possible in all its extensiveness with the advent of modern means of cultural communication, which allow the spread of literary creations on a large scale, the "printing" of good musical works and the viewing of many cinematic creations by millions of people, the reproduction of numerous paintings in large numbers, watching various quality shows by an increasing number of viewers, etc. The Internet - the most powerful means of information and communication, the cinema, radio, television, disk, magnetic tape (phono and photo), large print media (newspaper, popularization book, illustrated magazine, art reproductions, posters, photography, etc. . or in a word mass media, as they are called all of them, derived from the English word (media- means of communication, derived from the Latin medium = medium, factor, link) achieves (of course together with the so-called traditional cultural means ) a plurality of functions in terms of information-training-education and recreation (relaxation, compensation) of the masses in contemporary society. However, the "mass" action of modern means of communication raises a lot of sociological, political, aesthetic, psychological, axiological, etc. problems. These problems are solved through joint efforts. Sociologists, psychologists, pedagogues, politicians, filmmakers, journalists, etc. Recently, there have been increasingly insistent debates regarding: the social coordinates and the specifics of the mass media's cultural action; the force of the language of various modern means of mass cultural communication; the psychological, logical and epistemological situations resulting from the adaptation of the "public" to this language, etc. en_US
