Abstract:
The increasingly massive presence of people in virtual space has motivated some researchers to exploit to the maximum the opportunities offered by, for example, social networks. In the last 2-3 years, more and more groups appear on social media, which thematically unite whole communities. This tool allows the collection of valuable information about the history of some localities, the material and immaterial heritage, sometimes the creation of precious photo archives, etc. This type of research based on the classic version of research methodology and theory allows for interdisciplinary studies. This article addresses the subject of the possibility of using field research tools in the online space and the convenience of collecting, documenting and systematizing ethnological field data collected virtually.
