Migrarea termenilor sportivi în textele beletristice: despecializare sau determinologizare?

Abstract

The common language and specialized languages make a continuous mutual exchange of lexical units within three essential semantic processes, which over the last two decades have attracted the great interest of researchers: terminologization, determinologization and reterminologization. The purpose of this research is the sports terms that have migrated into the fiction texts. Based on some literary fragments, the statute of the sports terms used in such texts was determined and the two processes characterizing the respective phenomenon were bordered: despecialization and determinologization. It has been proved that sports terms can be subject to both despecialization (if they are used with denotative value) and determinologization (if they are used figuratively, in order to achieve stylistic effects), but the semantic process type does not depend on the style of the texts, whereby the term is being picked up, but by its semantic valences.
