Abstract:
One of the urgent problems of the methods of teaching Russian language is the search for effective methods of teaching spelling to schoolchildren. Despite the efforts of language teachers, numerous methodological recommendations and works, the practical literacy of schoolchildren remains at an obviously low level. Scientists and methodologists agree that to form the spelling skills, it is necessary to consciously master the rules of Russian writing based on the analysis of the word composition and the actual word-formation process. The purpose of the article is to identify the most effective methods and techniques for teaching spelling based on the word formation of 5th grade students, the use of which will allow them to firmly assimilate theoretical information and consciously apply the gained knowledge in practical activities. The main attention is focused on the description of such methods and techniques as the method of folded informative structures, working with a dictionary, working with word-formation models, dictations.
