Abstract:
The educational environment has an important role in the development of the literacy skills, starting from the level of fundamental acquisitions and developing throughout lifetime. Literacy competence includes activities such as reading, writing, oral and written communication, mathematical calculation. It also involves the ability of recognising, analyzing and using information in an efficient and responsible way. In order to have a complete teaching-learning process, evaluation is also needed, because these factors are in a close relationship of interdependence. The process of skills formation is complex and includes three main operations: measurement, assessment and decision. The latter has an extremely important role, because knowing the final results allows orientation and correction of training processes, as we refer to both the teaching staff and the students, in the article.
