Abstract:
This paper highlights the importance of visual arts in the education of students, enabling them to create values and appreciate the values created by others, as well as helping them make decisions in their personal and social lives by incorporating their personal and cultural tastes and preferences. By assimilating aesthetics into the curriculum, students can develop a sub-discipline that incorporates both traditional and innovative approaches to art. The paper presents some examples of learning activities, organizational forms, and evaluation methods for primary school students to highlight artistic competence. The use of visual arts resources can also promote inclusive education through an integrated and interdisciplinary curriculum that utilizes various media. By incorporating artistic resources, students can develop their aesthetic competence and connect with different subjects such as communication, geometry, physics, history, biology, astronomy, and more. The use of visual arts is not a replacement for learning scientific concepts, but it can be an additional tool that can help students understand and connect with concepts in a more accessible and attractive way. These help in creating a life environment based on recognized, authentic values that everyone should respect.
