Abstract:
The article addresses the issue of providing higher education in Moldova with modern library resources and services, necessary for teaching and research activity. The data regarding the modern resources and services of 10 university libraries in the Republic of Moldova were quantitatively analyzed. The given analysis shows that the university libraries of the Republic of Moldova have recently recorded significant results in the diversification of modern resources and services made available to researchers, teaching staff, students, master’s students and the entire community. The analysis record acquires special importance today, when the changes imposed by the Information Society redefine the role of university libraries.
