dc.description.abstract |
Students with high or exceptional learning potential have the ability to perform or achieve at the highest level in their given class or area of expertise. Teachers are essential in gifted education. Teachers are key agents in identifying and nurturing all types of talent. If the students are not discovered and stimulated, they can develop social-emotional difficulties, negative attitudes towards school and even drop out of classes. They are also able to develop this set of traits and apply them in any field of performance. These students need differentiated programs and/or services, in addition to those offered in a regular school, contributing to personal and social development. |
