Abstract:
The environment in which we work influences our personality and requires the alignment of personal and institutional values. The present study aims to capture the dominant personality traits of police officers in operational structures and to identify the most important personal values for which this professional category opts. This study examines a sample of 87 police officers from operative environment. The results highlighted the fact that police officers in the operational environment are sociable and active people. Regarding the personal values assumed by the respondents, they are in agreement with the military institutional values (Social relations. Compliance with the rules, Safety, Autonomy and Professional recognition).
