Abstract:
Art education provides a means to many educational purposes. It helps children to be more tolerant and open, promotes individuality, supports their personal trust, fosters creative expression and improves their academic performance. Involvement in the arts has shown increased academic performance in all areas, not just in the art. Also in accordance with Gardner’s theory of multiple intelligences [3], it allows children who may not be the best at some materials to foster a talent. Moreover, the arts, by themselves, are subjects of study recognized for how to promote learning for children with different needs. All of these things contribute to make art education an extremely valuable subject.
