Abstract:
In the paper there are analyses the evolution of the concept of "sustainable development" in European aspect. Based on the presentation of notable documents and materials in this field, the main stages of implementation of the concept at continental level are described. There are establish and notify the theoretical and practical ascending level of the evolution of activities related to the implementation of the concept "SustainableDevelopment". In the conclusions, some deductions are made on the ef ectiveness of this main desideratum for sustainable development in the European Union.
