Abstract:
Based on the ecological characteristics of terrestrial gastropods, the climatic conditions andthegeographic landscape of the Otaci II paleolithic settlement are reconstituted. From a stratigraphic point of view, deposits that incorporate the cultural stratum have accumulated during the final stage of Würmian GlaciationontheEuropean continent, in Tardiglaciar. The composition and ecological structure of fauna proves to be of a mixedtypeand indicates the development of a loess steppe landscape due to colder climatic conditions than the present one.
