Abstract:
Geographical landscapes are the result of the interaction of the natural environment components (relief conditions and climate) under the impact of anthropogenic activities. For the analysis of the landscape structure dynamics, the reference period 1982 - 2013 was selected. Thus, this study aims to investigate the landscape structure and their changes within the boundaries of the Northern Codri plateau, a physical-geographical subregion with an area of 1163.5 km2, located in the northern part of the Codri plateau. The landscape structure of the Northern Codri has undergone essential changes. To assess the spatial and temporal dynamics of landscapes in Northern Codri the Binary Index (BCI) was calculated, the value of which indicates 0.02, which means a high degree of landscape change.
