Abstract:
The material damages caused by torrential rains from the warm semester of the year on the territory of the republic for the period 1997-2015 constituted 4,62 billion lei, fact determined by large quantities of water, increased intensity and high frequency of these rains. The value of damages caused by torrential rains in the warm semester months of the year varies significantly from one month to another, both at the republic level and for each district, being determined by the variation of the parameters of torrential rains. Maximum values of material damage caused by torrential rains are recorded in July, and minimum values are recorded in April and October.
