Vladislav Shevchenko (born 08.09.1970, Tallinn, Estonia - died 12.09.1991, Chisinau) inherited the sculpture vocation from his father - sculptor Dimitri Shevchenko. Artistic studies he had begun at the School of Fine Arts in Chisinau I. Repin. There he studied sculpture, drawing and composition in Natalia Vlasova studio. Vladislav Shevchenko's compositions have as a subject different stories, mostly with comic characters or scenes from tales. Suddenly, passed into the shadows world, only at age of 21, because of an incurable disease, Vladislav Shevchenko has been recognized as one of the most gifted creative personalities of his generation, the last15 compositions were acquired by the National Museum of Art of Moldova. |
